Owen Thompson

Owen Thompson is a high school senior at Faith Lutheran, originally from the Seattle area. He is a straight-A student who is a member of the STEM and Honors Institutes at Faith Lutheran. He has received multiple awards for having the highest grades in his class for Honors Pre-Calculus, AP English Language, French, and AP World History. He has been on the honor roll his entire high school career and is placed rank 10 out of 353 (top 2%) in his class. He tutors students at Faith Lutheran through Math Honor Society (Mu Alpha Theta) and Science National Honor Society. He is also a competitior in CyberPatriot, the Air Force Association’s cybersecurity competition, in which his team has placed first in Nevada every year from 2017 to 2020. He is a member of Faith Lutheran’s Red Team, an elite cybersecurity group. He is also a member of a VEX Robotics team and is also the President of the Japan Society at Faith. He hopes to be able to study Computer Science in college and loves to solve difficult problems, in math or otherwise.
